In fact, many entities are drawn to possess lifeless objects, as they offer none of the resistance a living being would… And believe it or not, toasters are one of the top three types of appliances possessed. If you happen to encounter a spectrally animated toaster, remember: they can and will shoot slices of ectoplasmic toast, so be ready to duck!

Ghostbusters 2 is where this toaster originated. Ray and Egon were doing experiments with the mood slime, and were able to animate the toaster, and it danced to Jackie Wilson’s song Higher and Higher. It was a kinetic test of the slime and an object
