Story
Prohibition-era gangster ‘Blue’ Lou Maltieri’s nickname comes from a nasty case of varicose veins suffered during his life, as opposed to some sinister act involving a meat locker, a story which he still spreads as a ghost. Already aggressive, this ghost gets truly violent when corrected by someone who knows the real story (something Ray discovered the hard way). Lou wasn’t often seen without his partner, Tommy Twitch – so if you run across one, watch out for the other!
Where did Blue Lou Maltieri come from?
Blue Lou Maltieri came from IDW’s Ghostbusters: The Other Side #1. He and Tommy Twitch are gangster ghosts. They were part of Fred‘s crew.
It is unclear who is Blue Lou Maltieri and who is Tommy Twitch from the art in the comic.
On top of this comic book version of Blue Lou, there’s also a character called “Louie” that is in the sixth episode of The Real Ghostbusters called “The Boogieman Cometh.” He’s a gangster ghost that the fellas bust at the start of the episode.
