With the help of another Ghostbusters World player who goes by J.H. Tobin on our Discord, we have uncovered 21 ghosts that were in various stages of development for the game. Not only that, but we have the models and animation for probably 10 or so of these ghosts. Over the coming weeks, we’re going to assemble what we can from the content and publish articles going more in-depth about each of the ghosts, as well as adding entries to Tobin’s Spirit Guide for each of the ghosts.
That said, let’s take a quick look at each of the ghosts that they were preparing to release in Ghostbusters World. As we dig through the files, we may find more. In fact, we have found that the minions of the boss ghosts were potentially going to be available to catch at some point. More on that in another post.
Keep in mind that as we add more pages of content about each of these ghosts, for the ones we have the models, we also have some animation. We’re going to be posting more pictures of the ghosts that we have models for, and videos of them in action. We also have the stories to go with each of the ghosts, except for Plague Doctor.
So here they are in alphabetic order. We have rendered what we could find in the game files. The rest are either pictures of the ghost in a Ghostbusters property, or not pictured. Enjoy your first look!
Bloody Mary
Making her debut in Ghostbusters World, she was Class 4, a Dark-type, and Rare. She would have been 3 stars.
Cheonyeo Gwisin
Another debut ghost, this is a Class 3, Light-type. It would have been common and 2 stars.
Doctor McCatheter
From The Real Ghostbusters, this is a Class 3 ghost, who is an Earth-type. It would be Rare, and 3 stars.
Dry Spell Spirit
From Extreme Ghostbusters, but no models or images or other details available, except for the story.
Ecto-Clone
From Extreme Ghostbusters, this was a Class 5, Earth-type ghost. It would have been 3 stars, and Super Rare.
Enraenra
This is another debut, a Class 2 Fire-type ghost, that would have been a 2-star ghost that would have been common to find.
Fei Fei
Making it’s debut here, another Class 5, this time a Light-type. This one would also be a grade 5 ghost, and is also described as “Unique.”
Jersey Devil
From Extreme Ghostbusters, this one also had no images or models available in the game files, and nothing about class or element type.
Leprechaun
From Extreme Ghostbusters, this was a Class 4, Earth-type ghost. It would be catchable at 3 stars. This ghost would have been Rare.
Leshii
Debuting here, this was another Class 5, Earth-type. It would have been Super Rare, and 4 stars.
Maura Glostic (Siren)
From Extreme Ghostbusters, this ghost may have been called either “Siren” or “Maura Glostic” in the game. No information on type, class or rarity. Maura and Sioban Glostic are sisters who may have been previously unnamed in the show, but perhaps the charcters were named in the script from the episode of Extreme Ghostbusters in which they first appear.
Phoenix
This would be a Ghostbusters World debut. Class 6, Fire-type, and 5 stars. Would this have been a boss ghost? Not sure yet, but possibly. This ghost is listed as “Unique” which is a term we’re trying to figure out.
Plague Doctor
This ghost comes from the IDW Comics but we weren’t able to find a story for this ghost. Other resources exist, though.
Power Demon
From Extreme Ghostbusters, this one also had no images or models available in the game files, and nothing about class or element type.
Ralph
Also from the IDW Comics, but we don’t have any further information about the class or element type. No images or models in the game files.
Ravana
From Extreme Ghostbusters, this was a Class 5, Water-type ghost. It would be catchable at 4 stars. This would have been Super Rare.
Shifter
From The Real Ghostbusters, this one also came with no images or models in the game files.
Shtriga
This is another ghost debuting in Ghostbusters World. We don’t know much about it though. There was no model or image in the game files. A little bit of research shows that it would have been some kind of vampire witch.
Sioban Glostic (Banshee)
This is a ghost from Extreme Ghostbusters. It may have been called either “Sioban Glostic” or “Banshee” in the game. No models or images available in the game files.
Stingy Jack
From the IDW Comics, this was a Class 4, Dark type ghost. It would be Rare and 3 stars when acquired.
Ungaikyo
This would have been a debut ghost, but also has no images or models in the game. Apparently this is some kind of haunted mirror.
So, the tally of the origins of all of the new, unreleased ghosts, is as follows:
- Extreme Ghostbusters: 8
- The Real Ghostbusters: 2
- IDW Comics: 3
- Ghostbusters World Debut: 8
We are planning a lot of content with these ghosts, including videos with their animations. In the meantime, here’s a gallery of the images above to look through one more time. We have a LOT more content to dig through and post about.
